Help Desk Support Analyst


Type: Permanent

Location: Ringwood, Hampshire

Hours: Mon – Fri, 9am to 5.30pm

Salary: £18k to £20k DOE

We have an exciting opportunity for an English-speaking 1st Line Help desk / Technical Support Analyst to join our helpdesk team.

Job role:
The role is primarily to handle the initial contact received from customers by email and telephone, logging external enquiries and faults, as well as supporting in-house colleagues with our software products.

Primary Duties:

  • Answering telephone and email enquiries and logging faults on our chosen helpdesk system
  • Providing 1st line support (following training)
  • Liaising with third party suppliers and Tiger staff from other departments

Skills & Experience required:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • MS Windows/Office 
  • A customer support background would be advantageous though not essential.
  • You will need to be an excellent team player with the ability to prioritise your workload and work without constant supervision

Additional Information:
We are looking for someone to join our small, busy helpdesk team.  The role is primarily to handle the initial contact from customers via email and telephone, logging external enquiries and faults, as well as supporting in-house colleagues with our software products.  The successful candidate will be given full training on our in-house systems.

Working Hours:
Mon – Fri 9am to 5.30pm (excluding bank holidays) with 1 hour for lunch.

.NET Backend / SQL Server Developer


Type: Permanent

Location: Ringwood, Hampshire

Salary: £40K p/a

Tiger Communications is a market leader in telecoms business intelligence. We are seeking a .NET Backend developer to support and extend our existing product.

Reporting to the software manager you will building new and corrective database and middle tier code in support of our product Prism. You will have a strong background in writing complex SQL queries.

Summary of Role & Expectations:
As a backend developer you will:

  • Design, build and test new database objects
  • Author SQL reports
  • Build data access middle-tier code
  • Report to the Software Lead Developer
  • Be working alongside a team of 4 other developers

Expertise:
Around 8+ years industry experience in as many of the following areas, ordered by importance:

  • SQL Server 2008-16, T-SQL (DML and DDL)
  • Telerik Reporting (or similar, for example SSRS)
  • C#, ADO.NET
  • TFS, NUnit, Moq, Ninject or similar
  • Understanding of design patterns (Domain Driven Design advantageous)
  • Understanding of the telecoms/telephony domain advantageous
  • Knowledge of ASP.NET MVC advantageous
